1. Is there free parking? 
   YES
   
   
2. May I bring visitors into the hostel?
   
   NO! 
   Unfortunately this hostel does not have a lobby space where you can bring visitors. Non-guests are not allowed into the hostel to protect the security of all our guests. We can provide a more secure environment if we  can identify everyone in our building.  Please understand that there are no exceptions to this rule. There are plenty of restaurants and bars just downstairs from the hostel we are happy to recommend for you and your visitors. 
   
   
3. Are hostels just for young people?
   No! Our hostel is for all ages! The hostel is open to International travelers, mountain-bikers, snowboarders, skiers, outdoor enthusiasts and any open-minded easy-going guests who like meeting other people and don't mind sharing the kitchen, lounge, bathrooms and common areas of our house with other guests.
   
   
4. Are kids allowed?
   Yes, open minded parents are welcome to bring their children as long as you don't think they will disturb other guests and you aren't worried about your kids being exposed to friendly people from all over the world and you don't believe that words are "bad".
   
   
5. Are pets allowed?
   We love dogs and cats, but not everyone does. Due to the communal nature of hostels, pets are NOT allowed. Sorry. 
   
   
6. What should I bring with me & what is provided?
   Please bring your own towel, toiletries (toothbrush, shampoo, soap)
   and a lock if you would like to use our lockers.
   We provide sheets, blankets and fun!
   
   
7. Does the hostel have internet access?
   YES! and its free! We offer free WIFI in the lounges almost all rooms! 
   Usually we have a computer in the lobby for guests to use at no charge. 
   
   
8. Are there any rules at the hostel? 
   Yes, for everyone's comfort, we ask that our guests follow these rules: 
   Hostel Rules and Policies:
   No smoking inside any building on the hostel grounds. Smoking outside allowed 15 feet away from any open doors or windows.

1. Only registered paying guests allowed inside hostel or on hostel property.
   
   Video recording of common areas and hostel grounds takes place for your safety.
   
   We provide sheets and blankets. Please bring your own towels and toiletries (soap, shampoo, etc.)
   
   Quiet Hours are 10:30pm - 7:30am.
   
   Any behavior that disturbs other guests will not be tolerated. Please be considerate. Hostel staff may ask you to leave at our discretion for any reason if we feel you are detracting from other guests' experience. We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone.
   
   Check out before 10:30am. When you check out, please remove bedding from bed and leave it on the floor. Please fold blankets and leave them on the bed or shelves.
   
   Guests agree to follow these policies and rules in addition to the Rules and Policies posted in the office during check-in.

2. Do private rooms have their own bathroom? 
   No. All private rooms and dormitory rooms share common full bathrooms off the main hallways.

4. Can I receive mail and phone calls at the hostel?
   Yes! and No!
   We can take a message for you at: (909) 866-8900
   There are no in room phones. All cell phones get service here.

12. What is the history of Big Bear Lake, CA? 
    Big Bear history goes back to the early pioneer days in California. Native America Serranno indians lived here before the pioneers discovered what is now called Big Bear Valley. You can find great books about the history of Big Bear in the village bookstores, the Discovery Center, and the Big Bear Museum. The museum is a great way to spend an afternoon learning about 150 years of history spanning the Gold Rush in the 1860's to the creation of the ski resort community Big Bear has become today!
